Will Disney purchase Hasbro?
Those who have fallen victom to Disney
According to a story published by MTV Geek,
"These are still just discussions at this point, but serious enough that something could be announced at any time and create ripples throughout the entertainment industry."
This is currently a rumor but MTV has said there are reputable sources reporting on this discussion
Will the acquisition of Hasbro benefit Disney and the customers? Will the fans accept that Disney has the rights to Transformers, G.I. Joe, Dungeons and Dragons, Beyblade, Battleship, Nerf, and Magic: The Gathering as well as many other game titles and IP?
With the acquisition of Marvel and Star Wars, Disney has the entire entertainment of the male group. This is so different from years ago when Disney was always criticized for only appealing to the entire family and especially young children. The transition is hard to grasp for many people as huge mix feelings has emerged with Disney's purchase of LucasFlim.
What are your thoughts on the possibility of Disney acquiring Hasbro?
I have mixed feelings on Disney buying Lucasfilm. There is a high chance of failure but it is possible that Disney can surpass the expectations of fans. Disney did so with the Avengers, Wreck-it Ralph and the Hobbit.
ReplyDeleteWhen I hear Disney, I think of family and kids movies. I really did not know that Disney had acquired Marvel and Star Wars. Oh well, that's business...diversifying the portfolio.
